‘Fuck off Harrods’ done by a disgruntled employee, fired by Harrods from his job as the toy department’s Father Christmas, took revenge last night in spectacular style.

Gaining access to a maintenance control room, Lloyd Hudson, 35, from Ilford, Essex, was able to locate the chart and corresponding switches for Harrods’ 10,000 external lights.

Barracading himself in, Hudson disabled the correct lights until he could spell out his feelings to Harrods bosses and Christmas shoppers alike. He was removed by security guards after an hour-long stand-off, then handed over to police.

“He had drunk the best part of two bottles of whisky,” said a spokesperson for the iconic London store, “and it’s that kind of behaviour that got him the sack in the first place.” Hudson has since been released on police bail.

Knightsbridge visitors were stunned.

“Honestly, I am disgusted, ” said Irene Rider, 59, from Gary, Indiana. “I was with my grandchildren. We had just gotten off the bus. I said ‘look everybody’ and pointed up to the lights – but you know what the lights said? They said f**k off. And that is not an appropriate message for a child. At least not at Christmas time.”

Google Streetview ist ab Heute offiziell in 20 großen Städten in Deutschland verfügbar.

Von Google: “Ab sofort sind Street View-Bilder der 20 größten Städte Deutschlands in Google Maps verfügbar. Dazu gehören Berlin, Bielefeld, Bochum, Bonn, Bremen, Dortmund, Dresden, Duisburg, Düsseldorf, Essen, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg, Hannover, Köln, Leipzig, Mannheim, München, Nürnberg, Stuttgart und Wuppertal. Zudem sind wir einer öffentlichen Einladung der Ortschaft Oberstaufen im Allgäu nachgekommen und haben auch von diesem Ort einige Straßen in Street View veröffentlicht”

Leider wird das ganze von einer Menge verpixelten Häusern getrübt… Mein Kommentar dazu wurde von meinem blogtool gelöscht, ich schimpfe noch einmal richtig darüber, wenn Streetview in meiner Heimatstadt Kassel startet (falls überhaupt)…

Mit Unterstützung für u.a. Facebook, Dropbox, Twitter, Flickr, Google, Amazon usw.. ist es ein mächtiges und gefährliches aber kinderleicht zu bedienendes Werkzeug.

Einmal angeschaltet, fängt es die für den login notwendigen Browser cookies jeder Person ab, welche sich per Webbrowser innerhalb eines lokalen Netzwerks (Ethernet oder unverschlüsseltes Wlan) bei einem Online Dienst anmeldet. Der Firesheep Nutzer bekommt nach erfolgreichen Raubzug eine nette Übersicht aller gefundenen Accounts inklusive der Möglichkeit sich per klick sofort in diese einzuloggen.

Es soll auf die großen Sicherheitslücken hinweisen, welcher sich “ahnungslose” 2.0 User ausliefern und Benutzer sowie Betreiber dazu bringen Sicherheitsstandards wie SSL und HTTPS zu nutzen oder überhaupt zu implementieren.

Der Nerdzoo ist eine mini ArcadeHalle. Es gibt die gesamte Palette an alten Konsolen, eine Arcade Maschine (TV iDeal), Lightguns usw… Natürlich keine nextgen Konsolen, alles schön alte Schule. Back in the early 90′s whilst playing our Atari Lynx — friendless and alone, of course — we couldn’t have imagined that a second-rate spinoff of the popular Gauntlet franchise would unlock the secrets behind the birth of Google’s Android OS. But, lo and behold, what has one of our faithful tipsters found down here, amongst the ruins of Gauntlet: The Third Encounter? That’s right, nearly irrefutable proof that the Android team (or at least its graphic designers) have plumbed the depths of Epyx’s not-quite-masterpiece for the iconic droid logo we’ve come to know and love. Sure, the top-down scroller provided all kinds of new character classes like the “Nerd,” “Punkrocker,” and “Pirate,” but only one of these fresh faces would provide the blueprint for Android’s public face. It’s hard to argue that there isn’t some level of appropriation here, given the multiple similarities between the two pieces of art, right down to the antennae, dotted eyes, general size and shape, and even the strip which cuts across the midsection of the bot. Oh yeah, and the character is named Android. We personally would like to hear what Google has to say for themselves in regards to this blatant theft of intellectual property, and as for the Epyx artists who slaved over a hot Amiga to bring this image to life — the taste of sweet justice is yours.

Man kann nun in den Ladezeiten bei Youtube Videos Snake spielen.Indem man während der Ladezeit am Anfang (oder während man zu einer stelle eines Videos springst die noch nicht geladen wurde) schnell eine Pfeiltaste auf der Tastatur drückt… man kann dann über dem laufenden Video weiter spielen… Oder man nimmt ein 4K HD Video.. (oder schaltet “Bandbreite anpassen” ab und dann ein 720p)
